I really want to do my grand children's pictures, but am just playing with the demo so far .. seems to need a lot of tweeking on the color choices ? anyone post any finished ones ???

Tweaking is a natural part of ANY import from any product. Computers see images differently than we do.
Also, if you check other thread on this board, you will see, time and again the recommendation to make your image TINY. Make it the size in pixels that you wish your final image to be in stitches. One pixel/stitch is the best ratio and gives the clearest pictures with the fewest number of confetti stitches.
Confetti stitches will be there and it's up to you as part of "tweaking" to change those you wish to change to something else.
No matter what product you use to convert an image to cross-stitch -- NEVER take what you see from the computer directly. I have never seen it exactly what you want. Where you see clear cut changes in color, it sees blends and often looks blurry. That is the purpose of "tweaking". Turn the "rough draft" the computer gives you to what you really want.
It's as much an art as a science and it's your art so be prepared to take some time.
