I have some .pat files that were emailed to me that were done in PCStitch version 6 I believe. I have Pro version 9. I can not open them. I get this error: " PCStich encounterd error-1 opening pattern file C:\..."

I also had them sent to me zipped but that didn't help.

Thanks for your help.

Could you email me about the problem and I'll reply so you can get my email address to send the zip to me. Let me see what may be wrong with the files.

The one other thing that can be done is for your friend to load the files and save them again. Maybe something went wrong with the save.

They were sent rezipped, still the same problem. I went to her computer and put them on a DVD and still the same problem. These are not copyrighted files, they are originals.

I would suggest you have whomever sent you the patterns re-zip them and re-send them.

Please be sure that the patterns you are trying to open are legitimate and not someone "sharing" patterns illegally. We DO NOT support copyright violations.

They were sent zipped but still don't open.

Especially with Yahoo email addresses, PCStitch patterns should be sent zipped. I've seen Yahoo try to put them inline and badly corrupt them.

These patterns may be corrupted. Version 9 of PCStitch can read version 6 files. Version 10 can still read 6 files.
