First - thanks for any help. I am trying to put some old patterns my grandmother gave me into the program for safe keeping. I am having issues with a few things - I'm sure they are easy to do just cant figure them out.

1-Backstitching: I can't seem to change the color or thinkness of the lines. (Some of the patterns have think red, thin red in the key)

2-Blending: I am having trouble getting the key to correctly blend two different colors into one code

3-Directions - I just dont see a place to put in directions not even sure there is one.

THANKS!

I think it was a Windows 7 issue - I deinstalled it on my new computer and put it on my laptop and the help guides work great. I was able to figure everything thanks for all the help!!!

First, I suggest you go through the tutorial.

Now as to converting your pattern. You say you have thin and thick red lines in the pattern. Do they both refer to the SAME color? If not, there is no problem. If so, you may have to define one of the two thicknesses with a different backstitch line style (there are 6 available).

There are instructions available. You just type them in as text (using fonts and other features from the top part of that entry. There is an icon in the toolbar that looks like an exclamation point in a cartoon "thought/word" bubble. If you hover the mouse over it, it says "Instructions". Just click on it and a panel will open on the right for you to use for that purpose.

Don't forget to try the helps. You can do "searches" of the helps and clicking on "Instructions" in a search and the "List Topics" button will help as well.
