How can you get this format in a PDF file from PCStitch?

Admin Note: PDF link was removed because of copyright issues - please do not link to PDFs but rather to the page where the PDF may be found.

This is a very simple way to send a pattern to someone. I can't get from PCStitch to this format.

OK, I got the colored graph in by clicking on PRINT PREVIEW and in that box, selected COLOR BLOCK in the PRINT STITCHES AS box. I'm feeling better. It isn't as crisp as the above sample.

That example was done using a combination of software. It was PCStitch (or possibly Patternmaker) for the patter and key but something else for the first page and then all merged together.

There is NO way to create this effect only using PCStitch.

One point. On a personal note. I do not like patterns that are just colored blocks. I find them more difficult to follow unless there are very few colors involved. Also, colored ink is more expensive than black ink and never seems to last as long so I far prefer to print in black/white symbols.

When you decide what the look of your pattern is, keep in mind different people have different preferences. You may need to provide multiple "pages" for formats in a single PDF file.
