I think I must be doing something wrong. I have created a palette made up of a mixture of threads from different manufacturers. I have set it as my default palette. When I import a photo I click on the floss option to "map colours to floss palette" but it only maps to one of the "available lists" ie only one manufacturer.
What have I got wrong?
Thanks!!!!!!!!

As far as I can tell, you have not done something wrong. My idea of creating a palette was just that - an idea. I had never tried what you are doing. Further investigation implies that there is a difference between "floss colors" and "palette". What you define as your palette, either default or another name, is kept separate and in a different format from the floss lists by company that are used for the import.

It appears that this is an issue you should bring up in the thread on new features.

As far as I can see now, about the only way to do what you want is to purchase myriaCross Floss. It allows you to create your own floss list and it can contain parts from various companies if you just match the various companies definitions. You give your own names and can differentiate among the various brands that way. You can include that in the color list for PCStitch (the location varies by operating system) and then that can be used for an import. I just don't see how it can be done totally within PCStitch at this time.

There is no such thing as a stupid question
