Posted - 10/18/2010 : 09:48:16 Hi, I am having a bit of trouble with the new program. I have added some fonts to a pattern but it won't ley me change the colour of the fonts like pcs7 used to if i make any changed the symbols just seem to disappear. I can see it when i go to pattern view but not when i am looking at the actual pattern. Can you edit the fonts once you have added them to the pattern? I think i am going to have to go through all the tutorials over the coming months. |

Posted - 10/18/2010 : 20:20:45 I don't use the fonts much but this may be an idea of the problem. The letters (with the gingham) may be considered "objects" and therefore not accessible by your color change. Try "merging" them to the background to remove them as objects and make them just stitches and you may be able to do what you want.
However, make sure they are EXACTLY where you want them to be because it will be difficult to move them around as stitches where it is fairly easy as "objects".

Posted - 10/18/2010 : 17:33:59 I am designing a pattern for a friend who has had a baby so i have used the gingham alphabet, however i wanted the yellows in this replaced by blue that i already have in other parts of the pattern, but it wouldn't let me change them unless i am just doing it wrong.
Then when i do use the stitch fonts that are in blocks the symbols on the rest of my design disappear on the design screen.
Sorry for not being clear i am still learning, and loving this new version i have. Lane |
