Posted - 09/09/2010 : 02:53:11 I am quite sure I have posted about this problem earlier, but can't find the thread. Maybe there has been housekeeping.
Anyway, after the latest update my Pro is claiming that PCStitch fonts are not True Type even they surely are. I have even reinstalled the whole software and it does the same thing, regardless of the version (tried both 9.00.016 and 9.01.07).
Reinstalling the fonts does not help either.
My OS is Win Vista.

Posted - 09/09/2010 : 09:37:06 Mark, I think I found what is happening but I'm still not sure of why. I had it show the "file name" for the fonts and found out that the "shortcut" versions are copies in the MISC folder of PCStitch Pro! Each is only in the 50k range so I think it's safer to just leave them than try to see if they can be removed. They are dated 10/6/09 so it's from the install of Pro 9, I would think.

Posted - 09/09/2010 : 08:40:32 Have you rebooted your PC? Sometimes after an install the in memory fonts get messed up and a reboot will take care of it.
Diane - I'm not sure about your shortcut issue. They don't appear that way on any of the PC's here.

Posted - 09/09/2010 : 07:39:31 How are you trying to use the PCStitch Symbol fonts? I check in my windows folders and all three fonts are type .ttf (true type font).
The one thing I find odd is that they are each listed there twice and both at the same size. Of each font, one has an icon of a shortcut and the other is the normal true type font icon. ONLY PCStitch fonts have the shortcut versions. Why?
