A friend of mine wants me to make her wedding invitation into a 5x7 cross-stitch pattern. I use the PCStitch Pro software, but have only ever made basic X stitch patterns. Since there is so much wording on the invitations, she just wants the letters to be backstitched (vs. blowing the pattern up big enough for the letters to be done in Xs).

Does anyone know how I would do that? I have NO idea!!

Thanks so much!

Genevieve

Keep in mind the size you want - 5 X 7. for 14 count, that is 70 x 98 stitches. For 18 count, the number of stitches raises to 90 X 126 stitches.

The text option of PCStitch has some backstitch fonts. One of them may do what you want. If there is a lot of text, you may have to go with a small backstitch font even then to get it to fit.
