My printer isn't working so well for me; colors seem off and the cost of ink is high. (it doesn't have refillable cartridges)

Do you like your printer? Is there one you can recommend to me? Please share! :)

One thing you might consider when you purchase cartridges is to possibly buy several at once. Often-times purchasing in bulk makes each one cheaper. It's a bigger outlay at one time but lasts longer. This is only recommended if you do a lot of printing. You don't want to get so far ahead that they may dry out before you use them. That doesn't save any money.

Thanks for your input. For what I'm doing I really need to "check" my work to make sure they will print out well for my customers- so I need to print in both black ink & color.

Hoping to get some more printer recommendations before I go shopping for one!

Kareena,

All printer cartridges are expensive and as far as I can tell, the refillable ones don't seem to work as well. Some may have had better luck but in my experience, the off brands or refilled cartridges may be cheaper but they don't last as long.

I have an HP Desktop all-in-one and the color cartridge seems to wear out faster than the black. I just print mostly black. For my PCStitch patterns, I just print when I'm ready to use the pattern and leave it on my hard drive otherwise. The only color I use is for the backstitch lines. Otherwise, it's black symbols. It helps conserve your ink and yet still be a very useful pattern.
