 My pc stitch is version 4. Yes, I know its old. The program is suppose to choose the color palette for me and it has in the past. But, this time is an old green comb. And I don't know what to do. Please help. Sherry |

With version 7, you should see the current (or default) palette at the bottom of the window. Unlike Pro, there is no option to now show it. You can specify how tall it is (how many rows to show at once), what size are the blocks and if the symbol is in the block but not if it is showing. You add to it from the icon that looks like 3 crayons (the same symbol as the icon for the Floss editor, I think). At least all the colors you have defined (and others possibly if you are using a pre-defined palette and not using all the colors).
For backstitch, you have to manually add them and they should show up as you do them. An import will NOT have backstitches or fracionals.
As for the color, remember that you see the colors differently than the computer. You can possibly do some color adjustment before you actually create the pattern but you may have to do "tweak" the image some before you send it to PCStitch.

I have the #7 version. As you can tell I'm confused. I'm still having trouble with my color palette and backstitching. There is no backstitching. I've clicked on different things that show backstitch to no avail. Also, when I scanned a picture that had bright red in it the colors were drab and there was no red. thanks for your prompt answer on my previous question. Sherry |

I've never even seen PCStitch that old. It is far beyond support that it may be best to update. I have no idea how to help you.
