Posted - 10/27/2009 : 20:45:27 I just upgraded my PC Stitch Pro to v. 9.01.002. The old PC Stitch fonts (1, 2, and 3) do not work because it says they are not "True Type Fonts". The Help section says there is a new "improved" symbol font, but I can't figure out which font it is. I tried "Symbol", but that is the standard Windows font for Greek letters, and not the old stitching symbols.
What is this new font, and why did the program make this switch to "True Type fonts" when the old fonts worked just fine. Thank you. |

Posted - 11/15/2009 : 09:58:54 I don't know what's going on with my symbol fonts since my upgrade...I have something completely unsuitable as a key for colours charted...I want the ones I had before as they were just fine. What I've got is something plucked at random from my letter fonts, which are fine when dealing with text, but is just not right for x-stitch colour symbols upgrades are supposed to improve matters, not confuse them. HELP before I go crackers Thanks, Gill Well, shiver me timbers!! No sooner had I gone back to my PC page, and started up another design, than the fonts were back to normal... spooky or what?!

Posted - 10/30/2009 : 21:58:42 It had set the default font in the symbol panel to Arial and would not accept the PC Stitch fonts. I tried restarting and now it works. Thanks for the suggestion. |

Posted - 10/29/2009 : 21:04:05 I had the same issue when I intalled the upgrade. The PC Stitch Symbols fonts were not being recognised. Try restarting your computer. I am not sure what I did, but mine is working fine the day after I had the problem. |

Posted - 10/27/2009 : 22:04:40 In what way are you using the fonts? For stitching symbols, it works great. I have the 3rd set as my default set of symbols with no trouble whatsoever. The only time the True Type fonts have anything to do with anything is when you are creating stitched text. Then you select between True Type and Stitched.
Could you say in more detail what you are trying to do?
