Posted - 12/29/2017 : 14:58:22 I have 10 and a trial version of 11 that I've not been convinced enough to upgrade.
But my question is why is there no way to get either version to automatically display the number of colours used in the pattern on the info sheet? To get this information on there, I have to go to Reduce Entries, get the number of colours, and put that information in the instructions section, which creates tiny, easy-to-miss text.
This seems like a more relevant piece of information than some of the default fields, and I can't believe it's still missing in the newest version. Is there something I'm missing in the settings somewhere, or has this just been overlooked? |

Posted - 12/29/2017 : 20:38:48 I never said it does include it. I'm not sure I've ever seen a pattern that had a count for the number of colors. More important, and still not included in the pattern key is the amount of floss needed for each color based on the strand count used. The information is available but is not printed.
I've seen patterns from a variety of companies over the years and I don't remember ever seeing a count of the number of colors. It's usually fairly easily available from one column and then multiplication.

How do you get the colour count to show up on the key that you print out, as your dismissive reply suggests I'm able to do? |

Posted - 12/29/2017 : 15:43:56 I've never used that information myself so I can see that it's not something everyone uses. Please, never assume that all stitchers do things the same way that you do. There are as many ways to do just about anything as there are stitchers.
Most people would assume that the number of colors showing in the key would be the number of colors for the project. If, as you said, you have to "Reduce Colors" to get that count, it would confuse users even more.
I recommend that you post your suggestion in the thread for that purpose to possibly add it to future editions of this product.
