hi, i don't know if there is a way, but i was wondering if there is a way to get the PCStitch Symbol 3 fonts for my computer so i can install it to use on programs such as word. I am wanting to make a different kind of color chart with the number codes along with the symbols but word doesn't copy those symbols well since i don't have the fonts.

make sure if you are using PCStitch Symbol 3 in word or excel that you have the CapsLock on otherwise it wont work.

I think some of the font files are hidden because if you look at them using "Fonts" from control panel, you see a lot more than you do if you just go to C:\Windows\Fonts. PCStitch (all 3 font files) are among those "missing".

What is used for any of the fonts within the software itself is a mystery to me.

I'm not sure that "Contact Us" would give you much of an answer. That's why I directed you to Mark. He is the one who would be able to answer those questions.

BTW - I also use Windows 7. I refused to cave in to the semi-forced "free" upgrade to 10. My laptop is running 8.1 and that didn't change either. I've heard more nightmare tales of 10 than I heard of for 8!

Good Luck,

Diane

thanks Diane, i did use the contact us first. but asked how to copy those symbols. but not to export them or if it is allowed. i did not know the fonts are available in windows. im using windows 7 just in case its only for certain version of windows. i guess i have to look to see where to find the font folder to see if we do have them. thanks again for your quick reply.

The PCStitch fonts are included in the fonts section of Windows so it's available. How to access with other products, I don't know.

However, using with Word or so forth, may not be easy. I do know that when you export a floss usage chart, the symbols do not export.

You might check with Mark on how or even if it is allowed (possible or not). Just check his profile here and then send him an email.
