I am doing a lot of pieces on perforated paper. I always include care instructions with my work. My current instructions are "If it becomes soiled, dab it gently with a moist cotton swab which has been rubbed across a bar of white soap. Remove the soap with another damp swab. Avoid using too much water, which can disintegrate the paper."

Does anyone have better instructions?

Does the paper actually dissolve if it gets too wet? That was just a guess on my part.

Thanks loads!
