More and more all the patterns I buy call for specialty threads (Gentle Art, Weeks Dye Works,Six Strand Sweets, etc). Does anyone know how to convert these colors to what is available with PC Stitch as I like to put all patterns in PC Stich for backup.
Thanks,Eugenia

If you want to email me the files for the new floss lists that you have created, I can post them on the PCStitch web site.

I posted a question in the PC Stitch Standard section about this issue. In the interim I figured out how to add a completely separate line to the floss library.

Has anyone shared the specialty fibers that they have created? Where would we do this and how can the other users of PC Stitch get these files? I am beginning to try my hand at designing and I have never been a fan of the school of "reinventing the wheel". I just created one for the new DMC variations and would be willing to share that with others.

We are in the process of entering many of the non -DMC fibers into PCStitch. We started with the needlepoint wool as I am doing a large project for a customer using the Paternayan wool. We will be starting with The Gentle Art and Rainbow Gallery as they have the least variation within the skeins. I think we will move onto the Crescsent Colours and Weeks (non-Holiday) floss.

The hand-dyed fibers are harder to enter as they have natural variations and the dyelots can be quite different from batch to batch. We scan the fibers in and let the floss editor figure out the RGB settings. With a varigated fiber the best way to get an average is to try and find the most duplicatable area. The Weeks Holiday Colors, Dinky Dyes, The Dye Is Cast and Caron Collection colors will be the hardest.

Mark,
I've entered all of the Mill Hill Bead colors, or at least the ones
posted on their web site, if you want them. (I have PC7)

You can use the Floss Editor program that comes with PCStitch to create floss files for the other thread types.

If someone does this and wants to share with the group, we could post the files for everyone.
