How do you show French knots as an overlay between cross stitches? More importantly, I'm trying to create plus marks (+) between cross stitches. It's a 7x7 design, with an "X" created in the middle of the pattern. So, the very middle "x" there's a + over that (4 down and 4 across) and two more in all 4 directions. Can anyone help me? Thanks. Sue

Normally French knots can be placed in several places within a stitch, including at the "corner" intersection of 4 stitches. The normal notation is a circle with the color symbol inside the circle. I know of no way of changing that display. If the symbol for the color used for the French knot is an "X", it will show as an "X" within a circle.
