Hi, sorry if this has already been asked/answered. I searched around and couldn't find an answer - but please feel free to redirect me if there is one. My Aunt has requested a specific picture be made into a pattern for her. She wants it on 25-count 2 over 2 and I'm not sure how to set those parameters within PCstitch while making the pattern. I suppose I could just make it a 12-count pattern and tell her to do it on 25-count 2 over 2, but I just don't feel like I'm going to get the same precision. Anyways, any advice would be welcome :)

You don't have to worry about this - other than the accuracy of the estimate of floss needed and that's not that accurate in the first place!

What you print of a pattern is never the exact same size as the final product so accuracy is not an issue there. What is important is ease of reading the pattern.

Any craft that uses a grid for the pattern and symbols to represent the actual colors used in the product can be used in PCStitch. That includes Fillet Crochet, Latch Hook, Needlepoint, Beedwork, and even Diamond Drill. The colors and symbols are the important part. Information such as the size of the "stitches" is handled with the information page.

Admittedly, the "zoom" and the visible squares during design are dependent upon the stitch size given in the pattern properties but even if you did a product that wanted 32 stitches over 1, you could actually stitch it with 14 count and the ONLY effect will be the actual size of the product and the amount of materials used. The pattern DOES NOT CHANGE!

Just enjoy!

Diane
