When will we get an update to delete the colors that are in the color pallet or that DMC does not sell in the US?

It's not "Program Data", it's "ProgramData" -- ONE WORD. It's on the same level as Windows but, I think, it's a hidden folder. I'm sorry, I forgot about that. I always un-hide it as soon as I set up a windows computer. If you're running Win 10, just click on View at the top in the file explorer and check the box (towards the right) that says "Hidden Files". Then you can see them.

Diane,
I appreciate the info but I have looked and I cannot find the Program Data>PCStitch>Flosses. Could tell me where I might find it?

Thanks
Ferd

It's actually fairly easy.

1: Go to ProgramData > PCStitch 11 > Flosses
2: Right click on "dmc.col", move the mouse to a blank area, right-click and select "copy".
A file "dmc-copy.col" is created.
3: Move the original file up one level to ProgramData > PCStitch 11 to save it as a backup.
4: Rename the copy by removing the "-copy" part of the name.

THEN

5: Open PCStitch
6: Select "Enhancements" and then "Floss Editor"
7: Select "DMC Stranded Cotton" from the list of available flosses.
8: Select a floss to remove and then select "Remove Floss".
Continue for all flosses you want to remove.
9: Save your changes (save option in lower right corner of window).

That's all you need to do. You do need to play with the copy of the file BEFORE you enter PCStitch to be sure you're changing the copy, not the master.

Diane,
Thank you for your reply. How would I remove the unwanted colors from the main color pallet?
Amber Posted - 10/22/2021 : 17:29:11
As some of the colours are still sold in Europe I agree with Diane, make a new palette.

I have no idea about that. You would have to use the contact us to "officially" request it.

Or, you could take a copy of that palette and manually remove the colors not needed and make a new palette out of it.

NOTE - I would never actually modify an existing palette without having the original as a backup.
