I'm running into an oddity. PC stitch assigned the same symbol to two different colors. That happens occasionally, but I've learned to work around it. This time I missed it, unfortunately. So, by second workaround is to use the Highlight Colors function by right-clicking the symbol in the Floss Colors palette. Usually this works. Today it didn't. When I Highlighted Colors, nothing highlighted. I changed the symbol of one of the colors to remove the conflict, but nothing changed. I closed and re-opened the chart, but the behavior remained the same. Do you have a backup way to highlight the colors? Thank you! Hallie

Good idea! I replaced the light color with Christmas Red. It showed up beautifully. Thank you for the great suggestion.

I'm seeing the issue on a number of different patterns. The last four colors in the Floss Color Palette do not display when I turn highlighting on. Maybe there is a software corruption somewhere.

This appears to be a recurring issue.

Highlighting is independent of the symbol being used. It is based on the color specified.

There are several known cases in the symbol list where the same symbol appears more than once. The default symbols defined by the software when a color is chosen is just that -- a default starting point. I don't think anybody expects you to keep those default settings.

As for the highlighting, I've never seen it to fail. Just select the color you wish to highlight, turn it on. If you want to check another color, select that color and the highlighting will change. The only time I've ever seen it where nothing is highlighted is where the color isn't being used.

Does this problem appear on any other pattern?

If it's only those two colors -- try temporarily changing one or both to another color just for testing and then change it back.

There is no such thing as a stupid question

By the way, Highlight Colors seems to work just fine on the other colors, not the ones I want to find out about.
