How do you get the background on a imported picture to be white? It shows white when I preview pattern but when I print it is a black background and that makes it hard to read the pattern. New to the software, so forgive me.

The image that I used has a white background
image samples
The 1st is a screenshot of print preview with symbols only.
The 2nd is a screenshot of print preview with color blocks only.
The 3rd is a screenshot of the main screen in color blocks only.
The 4th is a screenshot of the main screen in symbols only.

Do any of these come close to what you are going thru?

Betty,

The tutorial is a step by step process of a simple pattern. There is a PDF manual for the product that can be access by a shortcut created when the product is installed.

When you import the image, does the background show black then? If that's the case, for some reason PCStitch isn't seeing the background. Are you sure it's white and not "null"?

Hi, I'm also having this problem, my imported picture is on a white background but when I preview it.. it is on a black background. I am lost with what to do, is their a video tutorial for learners or a step by step guide perhaps or a manual to download?
My picture is of a black horse, so you can imagine how lost this horse is in a black background.

If you want a white background to a pattern, then the pattern in the import must be white. However, remember that what you see as white and what the computer sees are often very different and you are likely to see a lot of confetti stitches because of computer-perceived color sprinkled within the "white".

An alternative is to remove the background color during your tweaking phase and just leave it unstitched (as to stitch on white fabric).

For more detailed information, I would need to see screen-prints or files to compare to try to understand more. If that is needed, use the email option to send me more detailed information or display them in a post.
