I have been right clicking on every stitch to erase one line at a time but there must be an easier way? I have seen another similar question but still did not understand how to do it.

Posted - 10/02/2015 : 00:11:00 To pick single backstitches out of a full area of stitches, I use this method: On Stitch Selection Toolbar, select Backstitch mode. On pattern grid, if you are not hovering a Backstitch, you are in "draw new backstitches mode". However, when you hover a backstitch, the cursor changes to a pointy-hand. Left-click to select the backstitch and you will see "sizing handles" appear as the circles mentioned previously. Now you can hit delete key on keyboard, click/drag one of the handles to move the end of the line to a new location, or you can right-click for context menu. Pretty nifty! Kudos, Mark!

Posted - 08/15/2015 : 20:23:07 If the backstitches are the only stitches in a given area (or the entire pattern) using that color, you can simply remove that color from the pattern and it will remove the backstitches. For a given area, just mark the area and if you remove that color, it will ask you if it is just the area or the entire pattern.
If the floss color used for the backstitches is also used nearby, simply click to select the stitch. You will see circles marking the endpoints. If you right-click, you will see a menu and you select "Erase Line" and the backstitch line is removed. You can right-click to start rather than left-click and then right click. Either way will work.
