Posted - 04/19/2015 : 00:35:24 I just bought PCStitch tonight. I went to the website to buy the Pro version but the only option was to buy the 10 version, I don't know if that's good or bad. So I'm just learning, please be patient with my dumb questions. I have gone through the tutorials and have been having fun editing a pattern. My problem is that I need to change one stitch in an area of all the same color. For instance, I have about a one inch area that is all orange stitches but right in the center I want one black stitch. When I use the little paint bucket it changes the entire orange area to black. How can I change just that one stitch? Thank you for your help. Carole |

Posted - 04/19/2015 : 12:49:27 Thank you so much for your fast response. I spent many hours last night practicing on the PCStitch, up till 2:30am and I'm not normally a night owl, and I am very impressed with the software. I did find out I could used the eraser and erase one stitch and then use the paint bucket to change just that one stitch but that was cumbersome. I was sure there had to be an easier way. I did have another question but it's a totally different topic so I posted a different question so if others have similar questions they can find it easier. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Your question is NOT stupid. You don't know the answer so it's not stupid for you, therefore it's not stupid. How can you learn without asking!
First -- PCStitch 10 is both pro and standard. There is no separate Pro version for the latest level. You did purchase the correct version.
As for your problem, you are choosing the wrong tool. To change ONE stitch, you do not want the little paint bucket. What you want is the "arrow" icon. That is the single stitch selection. then just change the color you want to use and click the right stitch!
Good Luck,
