Is there somewhere to learn about "mirror mode", which is an option listed under tools? I have played around with it hoping that I could make a symmetrical pattern easily, but I can't actually make it do anything except put a center line on the pattern. Maybe this is all it really does, but I'd like to know for sure.

I did search the help index, but there doesn't seem to be anything in there on this feature for either a search (with just the word 'mirror' even) or in any of the categories I could see.

Sorry for asking so many questions here guys. You all are awesome.

I'll give that a try, thanks, Diane!

You are right, there is little help on mirror modes. I have tried to use it myself but found it cumbersome.

Basically, set the "center line" of your mirror and every stitch you make is mirrored in the other half (either horizontal or vertical). However, I'm not sure it removes stitches if you make an error.

I have always found it more useful to use copy. Do half your pattern (horizontal or vertical), select it, and then copy and flip it for the other half. Much easier to do, at least for me!
