Some of my .pat files are saved as thumbnails, where I can see the pattern before I open the file; but some are saved as PC Stitch icons, where I can't see the pattern.

What gives? How can I have PC Stitch save the .pats as thumbnails all of the time? It looks like the newer patterns I've made display as icons.

I have no idea how those icons are created. I do suggest you contact Mark.

You've got this posted under PCStitch 10 but one of the folders listed is for Pro 9. I don't know if that is pat of the situation.

I do note that it appears (by the colors) that you are using Windows Vista. That is not a problem but it may be part of the situation.

Good Luck -- I would be interested in knowing the answer (although most of my patterns, of any format are zipped to make it faster to run anti-virus scans as well as make backups.

I'm on the "Tile" view.

Here's a screen capture.

I have no idea. I suggest you contact Mark on the issue. I've only seen the PCStitch icon. In what display mode of Windows Explorer are you seeing the thumbnails?
