Posted - 11/29/2011 : 09:48:12 I have been getting a lot of questions and problems about not being able to export patterns because they have licensed content in them.
If you put one of the library pieces or use a stitched alphabet from PCStitch in a pattern, it will no longer be exportable or sharable due to the licensing of the content. Removing the stitched text or library piece from the design will NOT make it "unlicensed" again. The reason for this is that it opened up too many security holes where objects could be merged with the background and we would be unable to determine the licensed status any more.
If you are getting an error from MyriaCross that the pattern is locked, this is probably a symptom of the same issue.
Is it possible that this is what is causing everyone's problems with this area?

Please give him as many details as you can about what is happening. Maybe he can help you out.

Posted - 11/22/2012 : 08:41:28 I have not even opened a library. There is no text other than the symbols for the floss. I just charted my pattern using the floss pallette. I did sample each of the different views (b/w, color, etc.), but that is all. Thanks for your help! |

Posted - 11/22/2012 : 08:15:57 Does your pattern have any library motifs? Some of them came originally from PatternsOnline. If you even open a library, regardless of whether you use it, it is tagged this way.

Posted - 11/21/2012 : 21:05:43 I just upgraded to PC Stitch 10 and I am having the same problem in exporting. I have designed my own pattern and, when I click File, Export, to Image File, it gives me this message: "You cannot export a file which contains any item that was purchased from www.PatternsOnline.com." I have never been to this website until I got this message...then I went there to see if possibly they had something similar to my pattern and I did not see anything even close to my pattern. The main reason I purchased this software was to be able to export to an image file. I have also tried copying the pattern to Paint and it does not paste into Paint. Anyone out there discovered the answer to this issue yet? Thanks for all help! |

Posted - 01/09/2012 : 10:00:42 Hi again - just charted a completely new design and can't export it to image file again. Please can someone help with this? I have checked for updates and am not using any PCStitch motifs or alphabets. |

Posted - 01/08/2012 : 20:13:05 This one I can't answer! I can usually hold my own on how-to problems on multiple versions of PCStitch but when it comes to the actual coding - I have no access and the only thing you can do is to check with Mark.
My one suggestion is to make sure you're using the latest version in case it has been corrected since you first noticed the problem.

Posted - 12/09/2011 : 04:30:44 Hi - I'm getting the same problem occasionally. I have not used any of the supplied patterns - they are all my own charting, done on the new grid, but I still can't export to image file. I don't use any conversion software or patterns from any other source other than those I have charted myself and put into libraries. Is there a way to sort this so I can export, please? |

Posted - 11/30/2011 : 10:00:13 I can export an empty pattern to an image file. I've send you the empty one by email so you can check for the myriacross conversion.

Posted - 11/30/2011 : 09:08:54 What if you don't put any stitches in it at all? Can you export a new blank pattern?
If you email me a copy of the pattern to mmiller@pcstitch.com I will see if I can fix it for you.

Posted - 11/29/2011 : 22:19:38 I also tried with a new blank template, put in a few stitches and had the same problem - pattern will not export to image. I don't have PDF Print option on my computer. I opened print preview of the PAT file, and it does not fill the entire page - too small to work with. I have a deadline on this project from my church, may need to re-install the older version 7 which worked great.

Posted - 11/29/2011 : 12:54:01 I check it with the Myriacross converter. I will try to export it as a graphics file.
